Female Voice Over – Documentary Narration – Home Studio
I had the pleasure of narrating all 33 documentary episodes of Enquête d’Art for Museum TV in English. This role is sometimes also referred to as an English documentary voice over.
You can find all 33 episodes on the Museum TV website. As an American who is now also French, I was particularly proud to narrate the episode about the origins of the Statue of Liberty, given the deep historical ties between our two countries. Below, you’ll find a video with a few excerpts.
What Is Documentary Narration Dubbing?
Dubbing replaces the original language of an audiovisual project, such as a documentary, or an audio-only piece like a podcast.
In my case, the original was in French, and I provided the English narration. The narrator guides the audience through the story, serving as the connecting thread of the entire production.
For this project, I recorded all the English narration from my professional home studio. The post-production sound engineer sent me the videos and scripts, and I handled the synchronization myself.
The art of English-language documentary narration is a powerful storytelling tool—it captivates audiences and transforms each viewing into a truly immersive experience.
